This weekend was the wake-up call to the blood, sweat and tears it takes to renovate a house... I'll probably split up the weekend activities into several blog entries, but the major events were meeting the coolest neighbours on our block and spending all Sat night hanging out with them, meeting the ice cream truck driver, having a couple of masons come on Sun morning to demolish and carry away our fireplace monstrosity, making our front lawn look spectacular, waging war on the insects around the house, having a guy come and remove the family room bar and bookshelves, taking down the popcorn ceiling in the family room and having Thu and Mike visit. I've been up since 6am so I think I'll elaborate on all those events tomorrow after some much needed zzzzz's.
